WESTMINSTER AVALANCHE CLUB HOCKEY

Westminster Avalanche Club Hockey program is designed for all Skate City Westminster Recreational hockey players at any age or skill level. As a club member you may participate in weekly skills practices each Sunday from December through June. All of the skills practices are held at Skate City Westminster.

In addition, club members may participate in monthly tournaments against recreational teams from the other Skate City locations. The club tournements are placed by age group and include multiple skill levels from beginner to advanced. This offers a place for all club members to play! Tournaments will be held at the Tour Inline Hockey Arena in Colorado Springs or at OD's Sports Crossing in Fort Collins.

AGE & SKILL DIVISIONS

The club program is broken up into different age groups from the Recreational League. The club program is divided as follows:

                   * 6 & UNDER
                   * 8 & UNDER
                   * 10 & UNDER
                   * 12 & UNDER
                   * 14 & UNDER
                   * 17 & UNDER
                   * 17 & OVER
                   * 28 & OVER

THE SKILL LEVEL IS DIVIDED UP INTO THREE DIVISIONS AS FOLLOWS:

                   - YOUTH WORLD DIVISION:   
Designed for the median to accomplished player. The World teams are divided up by evaluation then drafted. These teams are fielded by players from each Skate City Recreational League. 

                   - TIER I:        
Designed for the median level player. Tier I teams are evaluated by the Avalanche Club Coaching Staff and are made up by Skate City Westminster Recreational League players only.

                  
- TIER II:
Designed for the beginner or first time player. Teams are evaluated by the Avalanche Club Coaching Staff and are made up by Skate City Westminster Recreational League players only.

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?

All Skate City Wstminster Recreational inline hockey players are encouraged to participate. Players may begin practicing upon sign up and purchase of their SIHA card. Through the course of the inline hockey year (November 1st - October 31st, 5 rec leagues) club
players will be required to participate in a minimum of 2 recreational leagues to maintain club eligibility.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
                   
YOUTH WORLD TEAM:

The cost for the Youth World division is $100.00. This fee includes evaluations, custom jersey, pants, and practice times at Skate City. Tournament fees are $45.00 and payable at the tournament.\

TIER 1 & TIER II:

    * Club fees $40.00
    * Tournament fees are $45.00 and paid at the front desk on the day of the tournament. (Minimum 3 games)
    * Uniforms are purchased through Skate City and include jersey and pants. The cost for the jersey is $45.00 and pants $45.00. Full uniforms are required to play in the tournaments.
    * In the tournaments each player must provide their own equipment. The required equipment is:

          o Gloves
          o Shin guards
          o HECC Certified helmet with full cage or face shield
          o Elbow pads
          o Mouth guard
          o Protective cup
          o Stick
